A day of installations in the District of Spain
On Saturday 26 September 2026, Ciudad Quesada, in the municipality of Rojales (Alicante), hosted a remarkable day for both Orders in Spain: the Scarlet Cord and the Secret Monitor installed their new head of the District, Brother Luis Alcaina Guzmán.
At ten in the morning the District Grand Senatus of Spain of the Scarlet Cord was opened. The ceremony was presided over by the Grand Summus of the Order, M.Dist.Comp. Ian Stanley Currans, accompanied by the Deputy Grand Summus, R.Dist.Comp. Francis Charles Spencer, and the Assistant Grand Summus, R.Dist.Comp. Trevor David Currans.
After the reading of the Patent of Appointment and the prayer of the Grand Episcopus, the new District Grand Summus took his obligation, was invested and installed, and was proclaimed and saluted by the Companions. He then appointed Dist.Comp. Rodney Charles Bignell as Deputy District Grand Summus, named his Assistant and invested the Grand Officers of the District, which comprises Levante Scarlet Cord Consistory No. 1TI, Vega Baja Scarlet Cord Consistory No. 44TI and Caballeros de Rahab Consistory No. 50TI.
On the same day, the District Grand Conclave of Spain of the Secret Monitor held a special meeting, conducted by the Grand Supreme Ruler and his team of Grand Officers, at which Brother Luis Alcaina Guzmán was installed as District Grand Supreme Ruler.
The day ended with a Festive Board that brought together the brethren of both Orders.
